end of the summer... SWIMMING!!!!!

not much swim time left.
i had to change these pictures to black and white
because i was fooling around with the settings,
and they came out BLUE!

i love these pictures because this is summer to me..
this is what these two look like walking into the pool.
look at the excitement in jacks face.


we went to the pool so much this summer.
the kids really, truly enjoyed themselves.
and i enjoyed all the time that i had off with them.

i'm already thinking about next summer.....

my "swimmer"

obsessed is the word i would use.
he loves swimming,
and everything about it.
he has always been "our outdoor boy."

we went to karas again today,
havent been there in forever.

of course its our last day there,
and jacks getting brave on the dive,
jumping in backwards.

he asked if he could do a flip.
i told him... maybe next year!

(in the meantime, lets hope he forgets!)

we went to dinner for bridgets birthday tonight.

airplane..

this was how i found them this morning
while i was doing the dishes.
jack was trying to give miranda an airplane ride!!
thank god i wasnt in the shower!!!

Jack- daddy, i have to tell you something. its soooo true.

Jack- well, its so true that when you get to be bigger,
you can have any job that you really want to have.
i can do whatever i want to do when i get bigger.
even if i want to have 1, 2, or 3 jobs, i can.

Todd- yup. you're right. thats very true

Jack- (a few minutes later)... i didnt change my mind,
i still want to be a baseball player.
i really want to hit it out of the park, and i know that i can.
