this shirt is SO appropriate these days..

like mother, like daughter

not only does she look exactly like me when i was her age,
but shes is acting like me now too apparently.

tonight after leaving church with the kids, i called todd.
how were they? he asked.
jack was good. a few threats and bribes never hurt anyone.
miranda? she didnt shut up the WHOLE time we were there!
talking to everyone. telling everyone about her raisins, and her boo-boos.
im telling ya, i said.. she did not STOP!

his reply..
"man i guess its true.. paybacks really are a ......."

moo-moo

so sweet.

when jack was born, we had gotten many, many gifts.

one of his favorite for whatever particular reason,

was this soft, cow, that we named moo-moo.

i loved this gift, because it was so cute, soft and cuddly,

but mostly because it was given to us by a friend...

someone that i used to babysit for growing up.

isnt that the coolest part of this story??

i cant explain it, but 4 years later,

i still feel something "special" about this gift.

jack does too apparently. he goes in spurts ....

sometimes during the day, sometimes at night..

but i notice the times he feels that he needs extra comfort,

for whatever reason.... moo-moo is always dragging along.

last night when we went to bed,

he said mommy, i really love moo-moo.

can i keep him forever?

i dont know if it will last,
but lately miranda is a mommy girl
and i am loving every single minute of it!

jack went through that faze too,
and now he just wants whoever will give him what he wants!

but miranda... her eyes just melt me.
its soo hard to say no to her..

todd just said to me last night,
"i cant believe what a great personality she has, at 2"
and i agree. she is getting more fun as each day passes
and she is so smart, it continues to amaze us.
but copying everything that her brother does,
is NOT always a good thing!

1st puzzle

ok.. so we have those wooden puzzles,
but really,
jacks attention has always lasted ...
oh... about.......2 or 3 minutes, and if we are lucky, maybe 5!

he brought this puzzle home from grammys and
i never thought he would want to actaully do it.

so i was shocked when he came to me,
asking if we could work on this puzzle.
so we sat on the floor to do it,
and he loved it.
he didnt need any help at all.

he couldnt wait to call daddy and grammy to tell them
that he did it all himself.
he was so proud!

(and so am i!)

so i told jack today to take care of miranda
while i got a QUICK shower.
she was in her seat, having a snack.

he comes in the bathroom 3 minutes later,
saying he needed a towel.
of course i ask.... what for?

he says... "oh. well i was takin care of randa like u said.
she was all messy from her snack so i squirted her with a water bottle
and now i need to dry her all up. i was just doin my job,
dont worry mommy. i was gentle."

today i said, jack.. thats now what i had out for you.
well i wanted to make my own incision, he says.
(ummmmm yea i dont think so - that might hurt)

NOT an incision honey,
i think you mean, a decision?
yea. an incision.

i couldnt aside what i wanted to wear so i picked this.
you couldnt ... decide?
yea. aside.


and mommy.. you are the one who said that i hafta make choices.

she yells ta-daaaaa and jumps in circles.
too too too too darn cute.
