pre-school graduation..

it was so cute.
honestly,
i didnt think it was going to be THAT cute,

for two years now, jack has been saying
~~ the pledge of allegiance
~~ row row row your boat
~~ and, you are my sunshine.
do you think he would sing at all today?

mr. shy had his hands stuffed in his shirt during the ceremony.
the high school girls put together a slide show of the year,
pictures of the kids playing games, painting, playing outside,
and much more. it was really cute.

after graduation we had a picnic.
the kids loved it
and jack was thrilled we were all there (nana too!)

when it was time to leave,
again mr. shy wouldnt say goodbye
to his teachers and friends.

so of course, they all came over to him.
i asked the teachers if he was like this in school,
because our babysitter, sue, swears its only around todd and i.
apparently sue is right. :)

the girls said that they never saw jack cry,
and that he walks into class like he owns the place.
they said he is NEVER shy.
they said he makes everyone laugh in class,
and hes always telling jokes. (jokes???)
4 of them offered to babysit over the summer if i need someone.
so i guess he really is a good boy in school..

summer fun

i know this sounds silly,
ok.. kinda crazy,
but when i was little,
and thought about having kids,
then thought about the summertime,
THIS is what i drempt of.
literally.
this is what i pictured in my mind.
like i said, i know it sounds silly..
but to me, this is the perfect day.
a bunch of kids in MY yard,
hanging out, playing,
swimming, eating popsicles,
and
all GETTING ALONG together.
i am so happy.

there is no greater feeling in the world,
than to see your kids smiling, laughing and playing.
to hear jack tell me tonight
that he had SO much fun today with his new friends..
i wanted to melt. i was so so very happy for him.

happy memorial day

we didnt do much today,
just hung out at nanas.

the kids swan in their pool for a bit,

and then after dinner
jack played with his friend jason and jasons cousin.
they had so much fun together.
jack kept running over to tell me how much fun he was having.
i cant tell you how happy we are jason moved in
finally! another little boy to play with,
and the same age!
its the little things in life that get you so excited.

the boy ...

skateboard under arm,
trying to be like the big boys.

he thinks he is so cool.

may 18th....

(taken from a letter i had written to the kids..)

"take that support. welcome and accept it.
Be glad and satisfied that you are who you are.
Take a stand for what you believe in and “be” someone.
Make a difference in someone elses lives,

the way that you have made a difference in mine.
Make me proud."
