when we got home from work, we set up the slip and slide.
grammy and nana came over for dinner, we got take out, and just watched the kids play. it got chilly so we decided to pull out the bubbles. of course that lasted, 5 minutes if that. so then we played baseball, had popsicles, watched jack ride his 2 wheeler, played on the swings, caught lightening bugs and i'm sure there is more that i'm forgetting.
after awhile todd and i realized how dark it was. we weren't sure what time it was but knew grammy and nana had left awhile ago, and we were sure it was bedtime. todd and i were sitting on our new swing out back, just enjoying the kids. we agreed that we need to do it more often and i think now that we have the swing, we will. we told the kids it was time to come in and get ready for bed and of course they didnt want to. they both ran over to sit on the swing with us. we took turns singing songs (jacks idea) and ended up staying out there much, much longer. when we came in, it was 930! i had no idea it was that late, but it was completely worth it. we had a much needed relaxing, wonderful night.
he was so excited
and better yet... so proud of himself for riding his bikewithout training wheels.

i can't believe he can ride a two wheeler!!!!!! how crazy is that he better just slow down with the big boy stuff!
