im laying in bed last night,
AFTER jack came crawling in..
which he somehow knows and thinks
that todd is working midnights and i wont hear him.
of course i hear him, and secretly LOVE it.

so as im laying there last night,
listening to his deep breaths
i'm thinking. he is 4.
FOUR.
i have a 4 year old!
the transition from 2 to 3 wasn't that big of a deal.
so why is three, to 4 becoming so heart-wrenching?
is it because he is talking more,
and closer to school age?
whatever it is, i am having a hard time with it.
i cant get over that he is 4.
with every age, i find myself saying
"i love this age the best"
but i feel like i am enjoying the stage he is in now the most.
i'm sure i will say that again next year.
but for now, i guess all we can do is..
sit back,
watch,
enjoy,
and cherish..
